IonCube Loader is a tool, that is required to run files which are encoded with ionCube PHP Encoder. The latter is an application which is used to make PHP code human unreadable, to protect it from reverse engineering and / or unauthorized use. Lots of script-driven applications, particularly message boards, cms and electronic commerce solutions are protected with ionCube PHP Encoder, so if you get a script and you notice that ionCube is among the web hosting environment requirements, you need to ensure that your web hosting server has the instrument pre-installed. Though it is not that difficult to set it up if you have your own server, it is almost impossible to do that on a shared hosting server because the PHP environment shall have to be precompiled and all of the clients on the server will be affected.

IonCube in Shared Hosting

IonCube Loader is available with all of the shared hosting packages that we offer, so if you require it in order to set up and run a script app that requires it, you can enable it with a click from the Advanced area of your Hepsia Control Panel. Because you are able to change the PHP release that's active for your account from the same section, you'll need to enable the instrument for every new version that you set. When you're more experienced, you are able to take advantage of a php.ini file in a domain or subdomain folder and set both the PHP version and the status of ionCube Loader for that particular website only, without affecting the entire account. Thus you are able to manage both new and older script applications for multiple sites within the same account - a thing that you won't be able to do with a lot of other website hosting providers available on the market.

IonCube in Semi-dedicated Servers

Every single semi-dedicated server account that's generated on our modern cloud website hosting platform has ionCube Loader support, and you will be able to set up any script app that requires the software tool. Then employ it to start and maintain your web presence. You can activate ionCube from the PHP Configuration area of the Control Panel and it'll take you just a couple of clicks to do this. The change will take effect without delay, which means that you're able to proceed and set up the necessary script in your account. If you decide to switch the PHP version that's active for your account, you'll have to enable ionCube for the new version too. Our custom-built platform also allows you to have a different PHP version for each domain or subdomain, which is done with a php.ini file in each domain folder. In the same way, you can enable/disable ionCube Loader for each individual site hosted in your semi-dedicated account.
